“The game description is misleading. Azul stands for Azulejos and it's based on Portuguese tiles called azulejos. Also Azul is the Portuguese word for blue (not only Spanish ), but that is just a coincidence.”

“A great game marked out by gorgeous, tactile components. Good as a 2 player game over supper. Can be brutal, with huge negative points if you pay attention and force your opponent to take tiles they can't accommodate. It doesn't feel unfair though. Definitely recommend.”

“Azul is a great game that is abstract in it's play, but still thematic. I've only played it 2 player so far, but it is quick to learn so I'm sure i'll get it to larger groups soon. I think it has good replayability.”
