Excellent course. Really useful information all cut down into bite-sized morsels. You guys do a great job teaching and I can't believe this stuff is all free on Youtube. I've left likes where I can. The concepts in this Hendrix series do a great job of explaining exactly how these licks work. Everything I've seen on the subject just says "do doublestops" and gives some licks. I love that you get right into the mechanics of it.

This is an excellent course but not for the faint hearted or less than good intermediate. It's testing. The pace is a little fast in places and requires a lot of individual motivation and determination. It introduces, however, some very helpful and interesting material that can be widely applied once mastered and is well worth the effort to complete.

I'm stunned at how well this guy teaches guitar and that some of the lessons on the site are free because every one I've listened to is top quality. I'm a piano player who started playing guitar 3 months ago and I'm going to go through some of the free lessons to prepare myself for several of the paid lessons I've got my eyes on; the ones to play like various players. The lessons by this guy are remarkably great. He's really an incredible teacher. And this lesson is a great application of his other lesson on the pentatonic shapes beneath the CAGED shapes. In 3 months I'm at a point I thought would take me a year or two to get to and this guy's lessons have been my main source of information outside of my own transfer of music theory knowledge from piano to guitar. (Knowing theory and piano is such an aid to playing guitar). The lessons on here have been for me an invaluable resource.

Now completed the whole course. It is excellent for anyone liking Queen or May's playing. It is skill based and you learn two different, and very catchy, solos of the likes of May. In addition, the section on Lead Clusters and Harmonies are helpful reminders of how these can be used and applied in your own playing repertoire. The final section, I found difficult as I hadn't previously used tapping as a playing technique, By the end I was still struggling with this and it needs a lot of practise to get it correct. However, I do feel confident enough now to add just the odd tap into my playing but will need a lot more practise to go further! The course is suitable for all abilities so long as you are familiar with basic chording and the general scales shapes but will be testing in places for a more advanced player.
