Which watch(es) do you wear with this strap? Seiko 5 small face
Bought as alternative to red. Adds interest, wears in an interesting fashion. Dye seems fast on this colour, as opposed to the red.

My silver dialled pointer date watch came on a jubilee style bracelet, which I always felt was a bit over the top for daily wear. I had been wearing it on a standard brown leather strap to which I'd added a folding clasp but, after many years of service this gave up the ghost shortly before Christmas. I happened to have the chestnut brown version of this strap kicking around so I stuck it on for a day or two as a stop gap until I could get a proper replacement. It looked surprisingly good on a NATO strap so that prompted me to take a gamble on the blue leather version (at the time I bought the strap, there were no photos of the blue version with a lighter coloured dial). When the strap arrived, I stuck it on and I hated it (for about a minute) and then I rapidly grew to love it. It has given my watch a new lease of life and has brought out the sportier / pilot inspired DNA was belied by its traditional styling. Thanks to its new blue strap, this watch became an unexpected Christmas hit and it was barely off my wrist for the entire festive period. Although the leather on this strap is quite supple, as it's still thicker than the traditional fabric straps, initially, I had some problems getting the fold back to sit well, but this improved within a couple of weeks. I also have quite slim wrists, so I find that, on most NATO straps (and this one is no exception), I have quite a lot of strap to fold back (although this is not a bad thing). I'm not sure how long this strap will last compared to the more traditional fabric versions, but I suspect that it won't turn out to be as durable as a fabric NATO or a more traditional leather strap. I've found that after only a few weeks' wear, the leather has taken on a darker patina around the buckle where it has been rubbing up against other surfaces. I've also found that, although I don't go out of my way to get the strap wet, natural exposure to sweat and moisture tends to cause the colour to run a little bit leaving dye marks on my skin, Although this isn't a massive problem and it's not the only time I've known this to happen with a leather strap, it's worth bearing in mind. Obviously, leather straps in general tend not to be very water friendly, so, If you're looking for a strap for your diver and you're going to be doing anything more strenuous than diving into the supermarket on your way home from work, you may want to consider the more traditional NATO strap options. https://photos.app.goo.gl/drKmqeWMnvK5Z8aZ8
