“Far too many straps are just flat pieces of leather with a stitch towards the lug fitting ends. This may suit some watches but I prefer my straps to follow the same profile as the manufacturer's versions and this usually means padding at the lug's gradually reducing until you get to the buckle/strap hole side. This round padding gives body to the strap and looks better on your wrist. The 'highley' is one such strap that reproduces this profile and is a very high-quality strap at a very favourable price. A classic for sure.”
