“I've been a Watchgecko customer for many years and the owner of a Christopher Ward, so when I heard about the collaboration and saw the pre-release photos, I knew I had to have one. I wanted the bracelet option but within just a few minutes they were sold out, so I opted for the grey suede strap and got one of the fifty. I wasn't too sure about a suede strap but was really impressed with the quality when it arrived. As for the watch, the Fifty Fathoms inspiration is there with a sapphire bezel insert and similarly designed indices but without attempting to be a "homage". I've attached a photo of the Aquitaine with my Fifty Fathoms to show those inspirations. I was so impressed with the quality of the watch, that I have since bought another Aquitaine in green on a bracelet, I think that says it all about the quality of the Aquitaine. Despite having the option to wear the collaboration watch on the bracelet, I actually prefer the Overton strap as it is super comfortable. I hope there is another collaboration between Watchgecko and CW soon!”

“I could myself really lucky to have one of the fifty in this limited edition. The Aquitaine is a great watch and this collaboration version without date and with Fifty Fathoms vibes is incredible. The 41mm case wears more like a 39/40mm and the sapphire insert is something special.......... oh and the Stanway suede strap is highly recommended as it is super comfortable with a great taper.”
