Hi Marie,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us; I am very sorry to hear that this treatment has not been effective for your weight loss journey.
I can see that your order was dispatched on Thursday 9th of September and was promptly delivered on Saturday 11th September.
We have escalated your feedback to our clinical team and they have advised that the objective of Orlistat is to help reprogram your body and your behaviours to be able to maintain lifestyle changes; these include a varied low-fat diet (with portion control) and regular physical activity.
We may see early weight loss results after 4 weeks of use when it is combined with a weight-reducing diet and exercise; however, on average the expected weight loss is normally about 10% of your overall weight over 6 months.
Orlistat only prevents some of the fat that you eat from being absorbed, just under a third.
This treatment has no effect on other calorie sources such as carbohydrates, sugars, and alcohol; it is important to be aware of how many calories you are consuming from other sources as well.
It is important to distinguish between the treatment working effectively and a common side-effect; the absence of a side effect does not equate to a medication error.
We have contacted you directly to provide further support and look forward to hearing from you.
“Continuing to help me to loose weight effectively, combined with a diet change and improved exercise plan.
No real side effects to speak of, all in all really pleased!!”
