“I would suggest to go for 20% Azelaic acid in the form of Skinoren rather than over the counter variations. This is powered by research and certainly delivers results. Acne and pigmentation are pretty notorious to treat and with the array of promises made by brands, one may endlessly spend and get disappointed repeatedly. Getting Skinoren from The Independent Pharmacy was convenient and fuss free. I would rate Skinoren highly for it's efficacy and concrete results.
Word of advice; do be careful with building it up to get to the correct dosage. It tickles on the skin upon application but that subsides in 5-10 minutes. Layering it under sunscreen can be tricky. However, if one maintains a gap of a good 15 minutes before putting the next layer, may it be a moisturiser or sunscreen, the chances of pilling can be reduced.”
