“This was absolutely incredible! I must admit that I thought the cooking instructions would never work, but boy oh boy, was I proved wrong. This fed four of us for a special Easter/retirement lunch and we still had at least half left over. The taste was sublime - the wild garlic added a perfect touch to the beautifully flavoured chicken. I consider myself fortunate that I had the foresight to purchase two and am now patiently waiting for another occasion to savour the second one. Given that there is no wastage whatsoever on this sublime treat, I would say to any Swaledale customers that if this becomes a regular on the website, snap it up immediately - I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed.”
“Got this for Easter Saturday. It was absolutely delicious. I did cook it for longer than the instructions and it was perfect. The stuffing was so tasty, as was the whole thing. Took your suggestion of French style petit pois and threw some boiled new potatoes to quick roast in the pan juices while it rested. Don’t know if this is a staple of yours but will definitely be looking to buy again. Thank you, perfect.”
“We had this as an alternative for Easter Sunday lunch. Great success, really moist full of flavour and easy to carve and juices made really delicious gravy. Had the pigs in blankets with it as part of a traditional roast.”
“Simply superb and a very delicious chicken. The flavours were fantastic and the wild garlic only enhanced it. This was a good size piece of chicken and it went a long way servings wise. I do hope you have it again on the menu perhaps with a different stuffing as wild garlic season very short. Always delicious meats from Swaledale and arrive well packaged and as per order.
