“Browning this minced beef for a Ragu was like I'd never smelled beef before, incredible beef aroma! When it arrived the deep colour made me wonder what I'd been buying all these years from the supermarket, deep crimson with beautiful marbling of fat throughout. I'd previously made beef stock for 8 hours with Swaledale bones, this and the mince made the best Ragu I've ever done. It's changed the way I shop, using Swaledale mince instead and less often, paying for the quality rather than regular lower quality from the nationals round the corner. You may think this is praise gone mad for the effective leftovers of beef butchery but if this is a benchmark I can't wait to try what else is on offer from Swaledale's. Worth every extra penny.”
“The weather for bbq-ing has now picked up and I was able to dig this out of the freezer (and add extra beef fat for a bit more flavour)
I still stand by other reviews, this is by fa4 the bes5 mince to make burgers for the bbq with.
The meat has great flavour and easy to work with (no need to over handle) and the extra fat you can also buy makes these the best by far.
No need to add anything to them other than a bit of salt and pepper when putting over the coals. When the fat drips down and flares up, it all adds to the taste.”
