“As a farmer I wanted a pair of waterproof, hard wearing over trousers that don't shout 'army enthusiast' These fit the bill perfectly. They are comfortable and because they are held up by braces there is an extra section of fabric above the waist at the back. This ensures that when bending forward your back is not exposed to the weather, helping you keep warm and dry. They are hard wearing and have been used in wet, windy and stormy conditions and been covered in dirt, been hosed down and are good to go again the next day. Speedy delivery, well packaged, can definitely recommend.”

“Trousers had a very professional looking patch to one knee but were otherwise perfect for a "distressed item". So far worn once during very heavy rain and performed excellently. Delivery quick with decent tracking.”

“Most walker/hikers tend to regard waterproof trousers as something of a “necessary evil”, but have very little affection for them. They are something to carry in your pack just in case the weather turns bad. As a consequence over the last 10 years or so most manufacturers have decided to make these ever lighter in weight. The bulk of the current crop may be more breathable and lighter than ever but this has come at quite a cost often financially and definitely in terns of durability. If you need over trousers that are tough and durable then inevitably you need either workwear or ex military stock as these seem to be the only products that can withstand demanding daily use. Personally I find using them for rain protection is a minor role. More often than not I use them to protect my trousers from long wet grass, splashes from mud and puddles or my dogs that seem to take delight drying themselves against my trouser legs. I regard these as outstanding in almost every way,The fit is excellent and I suspect that is in no small part due to the braces. With the long side zips good ventilation can be achieved as well as easy access to the pockets on your trousers underneath. The material used on the outside of the Goretex membrane is substantial and offers as good a level of protection as you are likely to find from things like brambles. The first pair I ordered were green and I was so impressed with these I quickly ordered a second pair which turned out to be slightly different in style and colour (sandy) but also appeared to be (possibly) brand new, and in my opinion they had definitely not been worn. The quality was just a good as the first pair. For anyone looking for a top quality and durable waterproof trouser I cannot think of any product of this quality at anything near this price.”
