“There was slight wear on the sole at the toe and heel - but in general, the soles were in good order. The leather on the toe was not scuffed but faded and using a leather and fabric cleaner I was able to revive it. There is one significant drawback which is the lacing system - the eyelets on the laces were worn and would not feed into the loops. I bought new MoD brown bootlaces and had the same problem with the loops - I am sure that there must be a simpler way to lace up the boots but I am struggling using all manner of gadgets.”
