Hi Sam, I'm sorry the item wasn't quite what you were expecting. The white powder on the item would be a form of talcum powder that is added by the manufacturer to stop the item from sticking. This can be easily washed off with warm, soapy water (washing up liquid is great for this). The trim is an extra price on both all sizes of both the ready to ship and custom versions of this item and reflects the extra work needed by our technicians to add the trim to the item (versus the untrimmed version of the suit).
