After trying a cheap three-pack of silicon rings (non-REGULATION), I thought it was worth upgrading to the real deal. 50mm stainless steel. It's cold, although it warms up to your body temperature fairly quickly, it's weighty, and most importantly, it's STURDY. This is the foundation upon which all those nightmare A&E stories are formed - first responders wielding circular saws to remove an elective erective aid that stubbornly refuses to quit. Proper sizing is important, and here lies my only serious issue with the product - not the ring itself, but REGULATION's lack of sizing aids. I walked into the store prepared to buy at least 2 steel rings, and naturally, as the nature of the product makes returns impossible, one of them would have to go either in the cupboard as a less effective back-up, Second Skin if it can be sold, or the bin if it can't. If I hadn't been able to try on one size immediately after purchase in the changing room (which turned out to be perfect, thank god), I would have needed at least one more for insurance, which can be expensive for the ones exceeding the £35 mark. In America, King Ring's solution, to sell sample packs of cheap, 3D-printed rings for testing, has yet to be beaten, and it seems odd that I couldn't find something similar in-store. Strings and cloth measuring tapes are one thing, but it's a different experience when you're rocking 10mm of intransigent steel, and nothing can quite prepare you for the nuances of fit and feel until you're wearing it. Personally, I'd settle for a changing room bucket of sample rings swimming in disinfectant, but I understand why that would never pass the muster. I just wish there was a safer way to graduate from the world of soft, flexible rings to the hard stuff. Not only would it be safer, but I reckon it would be a real money maker too. Metal cock rings are fun, trendy, and some people wear them all day, but it's important never to forget that they are also DANGEROUS. Some will strangle you, and others may cause nerve damage, which is harder to spot. I love my REGULATION cock ring. It accentuates what it needs to accentuate, it feels premium, with a smooth, satisfying finish, and the edges feel far less severe on the flesh than they may look in photographs. The price is right, and I have no complaints whatsoever. The staff were hugely helpful when I asked about the collection. I write this review only to say that I will never forget the satisfaction of first putting it on, the horror upon the revelation that yes, my growing arousal will make this unstoppable object temporarily immovable, with NO EXCEPTIONS, and the relief with which I managed to monster mash it off once I cooled down. My fit in no way passes the "two finger test" (flaccid, I could fit three, maybe even four at a push), but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Oh yeah, and the packaging's cheap. It's a clear plastic envelope with a barcode sticker, conspicuously simple alongside other offerings from OXBALLS and HunkyJunk, but when this much care and craftsmanship has gone into the product, do you really care how they've wrapped it up? They could have given me mine in a paper bag.
