“I ordered this to replace a much loved and much used model that must be 30 years old. The cut of the outer hood on the new one is much looser and closer to a bag hood. The quality of the manufacturing seems to be spot on. There IS a difference in that instead of the D shaped lacing hooks at the rear of the hood (and as shown in photos) the new one has fiddlier, narrower ones that you have to align the lace ends with and I imagine will be less quick to unlace in an emergency although being able to unzip the front outer hood means access to air quickly. LOVE the fact that it's FOUR layers of leather and once it is padlocked in place....there's no way of getting out....... also am enjoying that horny New Leather fragrance.”
