Mountain Dog are proudly the UK's Premier Dog Outfitter.
Established as a home-based business in 2017 when our border collie pup, Denver, joined the family. Since then our business has grown rapidly alongside this fluff ball who still acts as our ambassadog and chief tester of many products.

Today we have now served well over 150,000 customers and our business, whilst still small and family focused, occupies over 5000 square feet and is full of amazing dog products for the active and not so active pup alike.

“Lovely harness. Good quality. Sturdy front attachment point. Place to attach name collar and light. Leaves dogs legs and shoulders unrestricted and free to move. Orange colour is awesome and suits my Vizsla so much!! Using this harness for loose lead running, hoping to run parkrun soon under new rules, previously used canicross harness for out front running.”

“Very safe and easy harness to use, this is the second ruffwear harness I have bought. Lasts years, not months so worth the money compared to cheaper ones on the market. I'm never worried the harness will fail as my dog pulls and has stretched cheaper harnesses in the past and they have failed.”

“Superb quality, much better than Perfect Fit harness which is same expensive but Perfect Fit falls apart in a few months. Ruffwear fits much better (size M) on my Vizsla girl who is 21kg and doesn't hurt her delicate armpit skin when she pulls. The front piece is so useful it really helps with the pulling, I have a lot more control now during walk and it's more comfortable for my dog than any other harness we tried before. It also washes well and dries quickly, it's so much better quality as well compared to Perfect Fit, and it looks so pretty, someone stopped us and ask where did we get the harness. A big bonus as well that I received a discount and also due to the friendly and helpful service I was able to change my order in the last minute.”

“This harness is great. The colour is lovely, so easy to get on and off but feels very secure when in place. Our pup has no issues running about or walking as it’s not restrictive in the slightest.”

“Love the front range harness, sumac red is a lovely colour. Ive had to adjust it a few times, as I bought it to help with pulling, which it does, but it seems to slide around a little at the front, when the lead is attached to the front connection. Altogether, its very well made, lovely tought fabric, very good reflective strips. Looks great on my border collie. We got size medium, even though her size measured as small (26), the medium fits well.”
