We are proud to be a leading independent partner of world class brands such as Ruffwear, Dog Copenhagen, Kurgo, Kong, Non-stop dogwear, K9 Sport Sack, Rukka, ChuckIt!, Kong, EzyDog and many more.

These quality brands are all complemented by a full range of dog care accessories and our own brand of food, accessories and treats.

This is a nice piece, looks sturdy and made of good materials. However, although straps can (just) be adjusted to fit snugly on my dog, when in use, it slides all over the place. I had imagined a harness that sat a bit longer on the body, and would not slip and slide when we used the front loop, which we wanted to try. So, fine item, but not really working as we had hoped.

Thank you for the review, Sabine, Sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with your purchase. One thing that we sometimes find with the Harnesses we supply from Ruffwear is that it is often missed how much adjustment is available around both the girth and the neck-straps. One way to make sure that you have the harness as snug as possible is by putting the harness on at the largest setting and then tightening it around the dog for a tight, snug fit. The neck strap is also adjustable and many customers have found that if the neck strap is loosened the harness moves further down the dog's back and has a more secure fit. It will require the neck strap to be tightened to prevent it from being too loose. This has benefited dogs who have odd and weird body shapes. With regards to the front loop on the harness, they work best when they are used as a training tool. Naturally, we would recommend the use of a double lead. The reason for this is that the main support on the harness would be on the D-ring found at the top of the harness whilst the correction would be made on the front loop of the harness. This will also prevent your harness from moving around your dog's chest too much. Unfortunately, we understand that not all harnesses are great for every dog, which is why we have a range of harnesses from different companies which you may find are better suited for your and your pup's needs. We hope this helps and that we will see you shopping with us again in the future. Mountain Dog.

Love the fit and the colour. My dog 4 month GSP has quickly got used to it and is walking muck better than on a lead. Great for town walking

Our 2yo Springer, Sidney, has taken well to the harness, but it may require a double-ended lead as well in order to have him really to heel. But he is lively, of course!

Thank you for the review, Nick! With regards to the Front Range Harness, we do recommend that a double lead should be used to not only have better control of your pooch when teaching heal but to also balance the weight out across the harness equally. We sell a range of Double Ended Leads and Training Leads which are from reputable brands and work well with the Front Range Harnesses. If you follow the link below to our website there is a range of leashes that may be of some use to you. https://www.mountaindog.uk/collections/training-leads. Thanks again, Mountain Dog Team
