“I had moved into a property and the loft hatch was old, yellowing and hanging down slightly at some edges. I decided to replace it and after a lot of seaching fond this one which was the same size. Instalation was straight forward though it is tricky to do on your own, hold the hatch in place with the door open while marking the screw holes is not easy, I did need to do a bit of filing of the plasterboard to ease the hatch into place. The hatch looks good, but it is a bit flimsy and the hatch door does seem to sit slightly lower than the lip. The hatch itself is good value and certainly looks a lot better with the newly painted ceiling. My wifes only comment was why was there a darker area around the lock? This is due to there being no insulation around the lock. I am very happy with the purchase.”

“Ordered this loft hatch delivery seemed quite slow difficult to find out when delivery would be. When it came it was obviously warped and being plastic was not confident to use it. I contacted customer services and supplied the pictures they requested. The warp from one corner to the oter was significant and i felt that I should not have to pay to return a faulty item. I got a reply saying that the warp would be resolved when fitted. I was not prepared to take the risk and then enter into a discussion on returning an item that would then be "used". When I explained tat I was not happy with the quality and would be ordering a more expensive model they still said I had to pay return postage which cost £11. overall not a good experience”

They confirmed that after inspecting the hatch on its return, it was not warped, but it did arrive back with us with some damage. Nonetheless, we processed a refund as a gesture of goodwill.
