“I have found these logs to be incredibly popular,
with starlings especially. I was a bit skeptical at first but the holder is usually empty by midday and various birds find different ways to clamber about the holder.”
“These are a great hit with the birds and I am pleased that the grey squirrel gang don't like them. The birds get it all. With the normal suet blocks I found that the squirrels ate most of it. The chilli logs are a great invention and I highly recommend them.”
“What a revelation, squirrels definitely dislike these and consequently leave them for the birds . Excellent quality and a great idea. Will definitely buy again.”
“Thought they would come with the holder as show in the photo, whoch is why I ordered so many. Have put them in an old hand whisk but birds don't seem interested! They prefer the suit balls.”
I am sorry that the website is mis-leading regarding the suet log feeder, I will ensure this is updated to be clearer that it is just the logs that the customer will be getting.
Birds can take time to get used to a new food, sometimes up to 4 weeks, so it may be worth persevering with the logs.
