“Bags newly opened always smell fresh. No wastage and more to the point, the birds enjoy it (and the blessed squirrels).
And thank you Ivel Valley for using such an excellent courier!
This following paragraph is not about Ready Peck
.
I used the no mess product a couple of times for the following reason:
Once I step out at about 6-7 am, the gulls, who nest on out chimneys, give the call. Pigeons, jackdaws and crows arrive in their droves. Little chaps have no chance against aggression and numbers and do not come near the feeders or the ground in their presence. Squirrels dive into feeders asap!
I decided to use the no mess version and thoroughly wetted it in the evening. Having been stripped of the husks, the seeds expanded greatly. Nearly double the volume and the "biggies" felt more satisfied earlier and left early instead of rootling around for morsels and keeping the littlies at bay. That left the coast clear for the little ones to whom I fed the Ready Peck Seed Feeder Mix on the ground and in feeders. It seems to have been a good experiment. I'd love to hear from anybody to shoot me down or give advice on my idea!”
“Always outstanding quality, together with suet balls and suet blocks. Switched bird food suppliers a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier. Very happy customer. Thank you”
“Decent ratio of high quality ingredients sunflower hearts, peanut granules, suet pellets to lower quality seed items in this mix. Our garden birds seem to like it but pick out their favourites to eat first leaving the seeds. I mix in calciworms for added protein.”
