Woodfield Lodge is a gorgeous two-bedroom self-catering holiday home situated in the quaint village of Brookhouse, just 1 mile from Caton and 6 miles from Lancaster City Centre, with a hot tub, wood fire and parking.

The village of Brookhouse is within an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and a haven for wildlife, with owls in the trees, lots of squirrels, and deer and otters also visiting from time to time! It is also well located for visitors to visit the coast at Morecambe, the Trough of Bowland, the Lake District, and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks. Within a mile radius, you have three pubs (all serving food), two local convenience stores, and a popular takeaway.

Exploring the local area couldn't be easier with several local walking trails and a cycle path nearby. The Crook 'O Lune is a popular visitor area, with swimming locations in the River Lune during the warmer months).

Benefiting from a full refurbishment in November '23, the owners created a beautiful holiday home with family or friends in mind. It comprises a fabulous living room with comfy furniture, a wood-burning fire, and a large flatscreen Smart TV. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms, one of which can be made as either a double or two single beds on request, a well-equipped kitchen with modern appliances and two bathrooms.

Outside is equally as special; with a large patio area, hot tub, and outdoor furniture, guests can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, perhaps alfresco dining! Luxury bathrobes are provided for guests, too.

Overall, Woodfield Lodge is a great choice of holiday accommodation to use as a base from which to explore many of the popular local attractions or perhaps simply relax at the Lodge for some peace and tranquillity.

“Beautifully renovated gatehouse cottage with log burner and outdoor hot tub. Lovely decor, super comfortable and very cosy. Everything you need for a great stay, plus very clean. Amazing fresh flowers and eggs from neighbour Jill. In a great location, just on the edge of Brookhouse village, with great views and local facilities. Short walk to the Crook of Lune and Lancaster 5mins drive. Good local bus service and Uber. Lovely owner is Sarah on hand to help out if needed. Will definitely stay there again.”

“A gorgeous, rural, well equipped and highly decorated cottage. Spotlessly clean and the owners can't do enough for you even surprised us with decorations when they found out it was our honeymoon!”

“Myself, husband and little dog have just came back from a four night stay at Woodfield lodge and it was great! The lodge is clean and beautifully decorated throughout with a stunning master en-suite bathroom. The beds were comfy, there is everything you could need for your stay ( pots pans and utensils) and the internet connection was great also. The owners are lovely and on hand if anything should be needed but the lodge is lovely and private and the hot tub is not overlooked at all so you can just relax and listen to nature. There are lovely villages within minutes with pubs and cafes and approximately 15mins to Lancaster. I would 100% recommend the lodge and would definitely return and hope to do so.”

“The lodge is lovely and is located in a peaceful location on the edge of a village, a short drive to Lancaster and Morecombe. We received a friendly text to check everything was OK from the owners. It was clean, tidy and nicely decorated throughout. It had everything we needed for our 5 night break. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were very nice and of course the hot tub which was a wonderful luxury after a long walk. The garden was secure for the dogs when we'd blocked off a couple of escape routes with some dog gates which had been left for us. All in all we had a lovely stay”

“this was a beautiful and private getaway with a cute walkable area. the hot tub and private garden made us feel secluded despite having a pub we could walk to and an easy drive to the lakes. the cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. we would highly recommend staying here.”

“Just spent a lovely long weekend at Woodfield with our dogs. The cottage is gorgeous and the hot tub a real bonus after a walk out along the River Lune. We have a list of "must haves" that our UK breaks need and Woodfield ticked them all! Lovely and comfy Superking bed, amazing shower, Smart TV, Hot Tub, walks from the doorstep and a dog friendly pub down the road plus only a short drive to the coast for a change of scene. The chinese takeaway in the village was the best we've ever had and Sunday Lunch at The Station Hotel highly recommended. We drove to Silverdale on Saturday and walked the coastal track (and a tiny bit of quiet road) to Far Arnside (10k). Sunday was a walk down to the River Lune and along it's banks to the Crook O Lune stopping at The Station Hotel in Caton for a delicious Steak and Guiness Pie before heading back to unwind in the hot tub while the dogs snoozed. We left on the Monday feeling relaxed and refreshed and knowing we will return to this lovely cottage”
