The property used to house the workers of the adjacent 19th Century Bobbin Mill, which is now an interesting museum to visit but has since become a wonderful holiday home for up to six guests.
Entry to the holiday cottage takes you into the spacious, beautiful kitchen with a large central dining table. If you aren't eating out at one of the many lake district pubs, cafes or restaurants, this is an excellent space for family or friends to gather and cook up a storm while discussing the day's activities.
Off the kitchen is the spacious living room with dual aspect windows, comfy sofas, an internet-enabled TV, and a log-burning stove - perfect for the chiller months, although there is gas central heating throughout.
Upstairs are three lovely bedrooms: two standard doubles, a king-size double, and the modern family bathroom.
Outside is a fenced patio area with a table and chairs; if you fancy alfresco dining, this is ideal! Pinewood Cottage also benefits from a private double garage, so you can securely store your bicycles or hang up your walking gear.
Pinewood Cottages is perfect as a central base to explore the wider Lake District areas, including Windermere, Hawkshead, Coniston and Ulverston.
