No 8 Copper Rigg is a stylish two-bedroom terraced holiday home with an enclosed patio garden in the historic village of Broughton-in-Furness, in the southwest region of the Lake District.

Accommodating four guests, it's ideally suited for families or friends alike and will make for an ideal base to explore the Lake District.

The quaint village benefits from three pubs, a butcher providing locally sourced meats, a bakery serving a fantastic variety of freshly-made bread, pies and pastries, and a few shops and small vegetable grocers. Broughton is the quintessential rural village with lots of charm!

There are many tourist attractions, historic sites and leisure activities to fill your holiday. Ride on a steam train from Haverthwaite to the Lakes Aquarium, visit Muncaster Castle and the bird sanctuary, enjoy the spectacle at Dalton's zoo or take a boat ride on Coniston Water. Pre-historic stone circles, historic houses and ancient castles abound. Choose from mountain biking in Grizedale Forest, canoeing on the Duddon River, horse-riding on Silecroft beach or make the most of glorious vistas of the open sea, shimmering lakes and lofty mountains.

The open-plan ground floor is spacious, light and airy and comprises the well-appointed kitchen, dining area, and living area with a rear door leading to the small courtyard with a bench and garden table and chairs well stocked with plants. There is also a cloakroom with WC, basin and space to store coats and boots. Upstairs, you have two lovely bedrooms - a double and a twin - and the family bathroom.

The property is ideally suited to families or perhaps friends on a walking holiday. The cottage is child friendly, and a travel cot and high chair are available, along with a selection of toys, books and DVDs and a Smart TV with Netflix. There is also one private designated car parking space to the rear of the property in a private car park and plentiful, safe, free on-street parking.

We loved staying at 8 Copper Rigg, it is in a perfect location for all of the amenities in Broughton. We are a family with 2 children (8 and 10 years old) and also a our dog Bonnie and it was perfect for us. It has the park and various paths for walks practically outside the door and the house was lovely and cozy to return to after a day out. We will definitely recommend to family who often visit Broughton!

We had a fabulous weekend. The cottage was spacious and well equipped with everything required for a comfortable and cosy stay, including a smart tv and plenty of books and dvds etc. The village is also a hidden gem with great amenities including, petrol station, 2 pubs, butchers, bakery, post office and some fabulous walks. The disused railway path is an added bonus if travelling with children and dogs. Also location gives easy access to the southern fells. We were lucky enough to have stayed during the beer festival so there was also live music and a good atmosphere in the village square. Would 100% return.

We had a lovely 4 nights break in this well-equipped cottage that is in a great location for exploring the Lakes. There is a fantastic local bakery and butchers/grocery store within a few minutes walking distance. We visited the local pubs and enjoyed a meal in the Old Kings Head which serves great pub food. We definitely would recommend this cottage and would like to stay again.

We stayed at Copper Rigg as part of a Northern Tour and it was hands down the nicest place we stayed. Modest but incredibly homely, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. 10/10
