Joiners Nook is a modern two-bedroom holiday home in Kendal Town Centre with private undercover parking for one car and an EV charger.

This gorgeous holiday home has been thoughtfully decorated to include comfortable furnishings, great beds, fittings, and limited edition prints by Lake District artist Alison Critchlow.

Joiners Nook takes its name from the former Martindales Builders Yard that once occupied the Yard. Now, it is one of twelve lovely terraced houses in a quiet cul-de-sac, yet only a 5-minutes walk from the variety of shops, restaurants, pubs, the bus station and the train station with links to London and Glasgow.

If you have bicycles, the owners have thoughtfully installed a ground-anchor point at the rear of the undercover parking to lock your bikes securely.

We loved how the property was laid out - perfect for families and friends!

The house comprises a twin bedroom on the ground floor, along with the first of the two bathrooms. Convenient coat hooks and shoe racks are provided for when the weather is poor!

Head up the carpeted stairs to the first floor and into the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area - an ideal space for all the family or friends to get together! The kitchen is fitted with modern appliances, and the living area is a fabulous relaxing space for kids to watch the telly. If you plan a meal, the large dining table seats up to six guests and the vast Lake District OS map feature wallpaper allow you to plan your next activity! There is also a good selection of OS maps available to borrow.

Retire to the spacious double bedroom on the second floor, benefiting from a shower room, and dream of the next day's activities!

Visited joiners Nook in May 2022 while visiting the lakes with friends. The location is amazing with access to local supermarkets, restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. It was really useful to have covered parking away and off the street which meant we could jut arrive and relax. The accommodation itself was perfect with good-sized bedrooms, and a great open plan kitchen, dining and living area with a handy map on the wall! Will definitely look to visit again!

We had a fantastic family holiday here and it was so easy to get to being the first town into the lakes from the south. Joiners Nook, was beautifully furnished and very comfortable and we were really able to relax and enjoy the time we spent here. The wall sized map of the near lake district vicinity behind the dining table was a notably cool feature that got the conversation over dinner directed towards the following days activities. Joiners Nook is also fabulously located just off the High Street in Kendle (although you would never know it whilst at the property), which meant we could pop out easily to one of the towns many restaurants in an evening or to one of the bakery's for breakfast. It was also great to easily walk to the local supermarkets for the weeks food provisions (oh the oven was amazing, getting to temp in about 5 minutes). We thoroughly enjoyed exploring as much of the lake district that we found time for and yet there was still so many places left to explore, so we will definitely be back. I can 100% recommend staying at Joiners Nook for so many reasons and I am sure it will help provide many happy memories for others too. Thank you for a truly lovely holiday x
