Lyth Valley View is a newly refurbished annexe with its own entrance and private patio/garden area overlooking the picturesque Lyth Valley and Morecambe Bay. It's a fabulous gem for a romantic getaway in beautiful surroundings.

This eco-friendly Brigsteer self-catering cottage is adjoined to the Owners property, yet it benefits from a private and secluded patio area with views of the Lyth Valley. It comprises a fully-equipped open-plan kitchen, dining area & a living area with a log burner and a large glass sliding door that overlooks the slate-paved patio and the valley. Upstairs is a spacious double bedroom and a large bathroom with a separate shower and bathtub.

The village of Brigsteer is ideally placed to provide a central base from which to explore the Lake District. Brigsteer is popular with cyclists, so if you enjoy cycling, you will enjoy the vast network of quiet country lanes. Just a short walk from the cottage is the Wheatsheaf Pub, with indoor and outdoor seating. Well-known for its excellent food and great service, you'll be spoilt for choice should you decide to eat out locally. The market town of Kendal is just 3 miles away from where you will find supermarkets and plenty of shops, cafes and bars. Market days are Wednesday and Saturday.

Lake Windermere and Bowness are 9 miles away, where you can hop onboard one of the Cruise Boats that link you to Lakeside and the Lakes Aquarium and the Haverthwaite Railway, or Ambleside at the north end of Lake Windermere.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Lyth Valley View. The accommodation is to a very high standard and beautifully presented. The location is quiet and peaceful but also great for exploing the area and the views from the patio are stunning. Plenty of local walks from the door and the rest of the southern lakes within easy reach.

Fabulous Cottage, Beautiful View, we really enjoyed our recent stay. The “Goodies” were very much appreciated, especially the Apple Juice - Thank You. Plenty of Walks available on the door step, and the local Pub “The Wheatsheaf” is very handy for a good meal. Should we visit this area again, we’ll definitely book Lyth Valley View at Broom Bank.

We stayed at this beautiful, charming cottage over the weekend of the 7th-10th of June as my husband and I participated in an ultra challenge event in Kendal with our poms in tow. The owners, Melanie and Michael, warmly welcomed us. They provided a lovely, welcoming hamper with local produce to sample. It was such a lovely, idyllic cottage with stunning views. I felt so relaxed and replenished when I was there. The stand-alone bath was very welcoming after a 50km walk/run! I couldn't ask for anything more relaxing and tranquil, starting here with all the comforts you could not ask for. Another bonus was the spacious parking available. I'll certainly be staying here in the near future, but I'll be exploring the area at a more leisurely pace.
