The Property
Jay Bee Cottage is a two-bedroom stone terraced cottage that has been fully refurbished throughout. The two-storey cottage benefits from peaceful surrounds and a lovely enclosed garden to the rear overlooking the River Clough.

A stones-throw from the front door is the Farfield Mill dating back to 1837. The Mill is now an art and crafts exhibition space, featuring resident and guests artists and also offers a lovely tea room offering light bites.

Sedbergh Town Centre is 1-mile away by road, alternatively, there are footpaths along the river if you fancy a ±30 minute scenic walk.

We had an absolutely gorgeous week staying at Jay Bee. The cottage is hidden away with views over the river from the patio garden where we spotted many birds and even a red squirrel. The rooms were well decorated and extremely comfortable, with 2 bedrooms both with double beds, a well-equipped kitchen and a very pleasant living room to relax in after a day of exploring. Farfield Mill has lots of crafts on display and a cafe. There is a lovely 1 and a bit mile river walk into Sedbergh which we did most nights to visit The Red Lion pub with our labrador. Sedbergh is an ideal base for visiting the Yorkshire Dales and we managed to tick 5 waterfall swims off the list during our week along with Ribblehead Viaduct, Hawes Creamery and the red squirrel sanctuary at Snaizelholme. Red squirrels were seen and photographed. The road up to Tan Hill the highest pub in the UK is a beautiful drive as are the roads down to Ingleton via Dent and Buttertubs towards Mucker. Many walks are available from the cottage, we just ran out of time! We would definitely stay here again.

Good, decor, furniture and fittings! But, suffered from lack of washing machine, and facility to dry washing! Inadequate supply of hot water, to wash hands, face and dishes, both in temperature and volume of delivery! One room heater did not work at all. Hall lighting is quirky. Otherwise, excellent situation, with walks on doorstep!

This was a beautiful warm cottage. The pictures match the real cottage perfectly. It’s a very well equipped cottage, with most things you’ll need - convenient to get to.

Had a lovely few days at the cottage. Great location. The only negatives for us were having to clean the trays inside the oven which had previous guests food on! For the price I was very surprised and annoyed. Luckily the rest of the cottage was clean. It also took until the last day to work out that because the upstairs light switch was off meant the downstairs switch wouldn't work, not ideal over the stairs. Having a morning coffee by the river was a plus. Not sure I would stay here again.

Decorated to an extremely high standard. The property was both comfy and spacious. View of the river was ideal and the outside area was perfect. The unexpected welcome pack of wine and chocolates was a lovely touch.
