Drumlins is a comfortable and accessible one-bedroom self-catering holiday cottage near Kendal, located on a peaceful country lane in the picturesque village of Endmoor.
Its central location makes it ideal for those who wish to explore both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Parks, as well as some beautiful, quieter areas of Cumbria. Drumlins Cottage is also well connected. It is just five minutes from Junction 36 of the M6, seven minutes from Oxenholme Main Line train station, a ten-minute drive into Kendal - and there are beautiful walks and cycle routes straight from the door!
Entry is via a hallway (very handy for those walking boots!). Once you are inside you will find that the cottage is all on one level with wheelchair-friendly wide doors.
The newly decorated lounge is lovely, light and spacious, with a comfy reclining chair and sofa which folds out into a double sprung sofa-bed, ideal for kids. To the side of the room is the dining table and chairs. A flat-screen TV and a network-enabled Blu-ray/DVD player is available which also gives access to BBC iPlayer and YouTube. The TV has a range of connection options, including HDMI, so that you can hook up your own devices.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you should need. It has a gas hob, electric fan oven, fridge freezer, a microwave, washing machine, tumble drier and a dishwasher. There are two stools available should you wish to keep the chef company!
The bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed and plenty of cupboard storage. Guests will enjoy the lovely views of the garden and the farmland beyond. All bed linen is included.
The bathroom has a toilet (with handy grab rail), a basin, bath and separate shower with a seat. Towels are provided for guests.
To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed patio garden with table and chairs. There are raised beds with flowers and herbs and bird feeders with many, varied visitors. Drumlins is set within the large grounds of our home, Low Park Farm. Surrounding it are almost one and a half acres of beautiful gardens, parts of which you are welcome to explore.
Parking for two cars is available at the front of the cottage and there is also a hosepipe available for washing boots, bikes etc. Secure lock-up is available for bicycles if required.
WiFi is available throughout the cottage and there is a strong 4G mobile signal with most networks.
