“I’ve been using Denman brushes for 20 years. It’s my favorite brush brand and when I needed to replace mine that was falling apart I went online to purchase my first brush in 10 years I was excited. I tried to order the same one I already owned. When I received it I was a bit disappointed. It’s not nearly the same quality as the brushes I’ve previously owned. It’s not at all the heavy duty hair brush I love…it’s lighter, smaller, and doesn’t even feel remotely the same. I’m hoping someone sees this and can help guide me to another Denman brush that is actually large, heavy, and durable.”

Hello Starr, thank you for your review. I am sorry to see you have rated our D4 2 star. Your old brush may have been our D5 heavy weighted 9 row brush, this brush is now discontinued. Our D4 also has 9 rows, it is lighter in weight which make is easier for professionals to use all day. “This is the first time I’ve bought a nine row Denman brush. It’s a bit stiffer than the seven row. It took me awhile to get used to it but now that I have, it gets the job done.”

“This is a great brush! I have thick, course, wavy/curly hair and this brush glides through my hair easily without pulling, tugging, or breaking my hair while blow drying. Smooths and straightens my hair beautifully! I just wish I purchased this brush years ago! I loved this brush so much to blow dry my hair, I purchased the 7-row version for everyday use! Love that version also! It performs just like the 9-row!”
