Hello Michelle, thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear your new D82 brush was unsuitable for your needs. Our D82 finisher is designed to glide over the hair to add shine and polish the hair. Our D81 brush is similar in that it has natural bristle but also longer nylon pins which penetrate the hair to help with styling. “This appears a nice Denman Brush which sadly I am unable to use because it was ordered by my husband who noticed my current Denman was becoming rather bald. Should have ordered Synthetic not pure bristle! Will use as christmas gift for someone”

“It's a gentle brush that just shines the hair and smooths it. It doesn't get down into the scalp when brushing. So, this brush is not meant for detangling or massaging. Just to add shine and smoothness.”

This is correct, our D82M brush is ideal for smoothing and adding shine to the hair as the natural bristle glides over the hair and also helps distribute the natural oils in the hair.
