“I wanted a bedside lamp which would give more light than if I were using a shade. It does that. I like the glass shade although you have to assemble it yourself with screws, and it's quite heavy so it dropped when we first attached it! The brass stand is a bit more 'clunky' in real life than in the photos, so I was a bit disappointed with that. I didn't particularly like the gold 'vintage' cable. I hadn't thought about there being a switch on the cable, so it's a bit awkward to find it if you're in bed and wanting to switch the lamp on or off. Other than that, I like the lamp, but you can't beat seeing an item in real life compared to buying it online based on the photos.”
