About Coffee Hit Ltd:

I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

But if your like me you like to geek out a bit and we also have some really cool coffee brewing gear for my fellow coffee geeks.

We have the solutions for you to make great coffee at home or in the cafe.

Enjoy!

Bought this as a gift for a buddy of mine as was tight on a budget. There's nothing within the same budget category that can compete really (Hario's are not great quality-wise in my experience). I've had a full-sized version myself for over 5 years. It's been alright, but as soon as you start getting a bit more into this new coffee hobby, you realise the downsides of this grinder - axle wobble is tremendously bad which leads to an impressive particle size variation. Grinds come out in both chunks and super fines, especially when opening the grind a bit more. In 2021 however, you have an ability to spend a bit more and get a much better value for your money. I got 1Zpresso Q2 for £70 from Ali and man oh man it's a better grinder - steel burr set, precise settings, built like a tank with premium materials and no axle wobble whatsoever. Bottom line, if you're getting into a coffee hobby and want a decent coffee grinder that will last you, do some research and spend a bit more. It really makes sense in the long run.

This is my first grinder, its very compact and portable. That also is its downfall. The chamber doesn't hold more than 25gm of beans. Also the connector to the aeropress works well. But since attaching the aeropress makes it considerably bigger, with no addition of weight, you need to exert much more force to stabilise the whole thing. My advise is to use the normal chamber to collect the ground coffee. But don't let this deter you. This is greatgateway to the world of coffee

I've owned quite a few no name hand grinders over the years, suprised it took me so long to get to one of the more mainstream ones like the Rhino. This is by far one of the best for the price you pay. It's kind of astonishing just how consistent the grind is even when you push for something a little coarser. The one issue I have is that the catch cup doesn't fit tight enough and there's been times when it's fallen off when I've picked it up. Would have been nice to have some kind of twist knurling in place to keep it secure but it's not a big issue. You're not going to get Espresso fine grinds from it, but you really shouldn't expect that at this sort of price. For everything but that it's fantastic!

I like wild camping, I also like freshly ground coffee. The Rhino Small hand Grinder packs easy in my rucksack, grinds small amounts of coffee perfectly and allows me to have fresh coffee in wild and remote places using an Aero Press. A perfect combination.

I bought this as a Christmas gift, so can’t really review it as yet, but it looks great & seems very well made. Fantastic service from Coffeehit.
