I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

“I purchased a replacement motor for my Mahlkonig Vario along with a new belt and pulley. While the Mahlkonig and Baratza Varios appear identical there are some key differences as I discovered. Belt and pulley were easy to replace but the Baratza motor does not come with any attached wiring, unlike the Mahlkonig motor. Thankfully, the bin men had not collected the rubbish and I rescued the old motor and cut off the wires which I had to solder onto the Baratza. Then the challenge was the wires were a bit too short to reach to power supply. With a lot of fiddling I did get the motor fitted and now it happily grinds my coffee! The good news is these grinders are serviceable with parts available at reasonable prices. Just make sure you get the exact one you need or be prepared to make some adjustments.”

Hello, Yes our motors do not include the motor cable However our product page for the Baratza 230V explains this & includes links to all the parts you need to fix your grinder.

“After many years of daily use, the motor on my Encore finally gave up the ghost. Baratza design their grinders to make it easy for customers to repair and maintain them, by providing spare parts that are straightforward to replace. Replacing the motor on mine was a quick job, requiring no soldering nor special tools. Just follow the instructional video on the product page and hey, presto! You're good to go again.”

“I finally managed to get hold on to one of those motors so I can fix my coffee grinder. The swap is easy and if you use the video on here explaining each step, you can’t really mess it up.”
