About Coffee Hit Ltd:

I started Coffee Hit in 2008, when I was always buying cool coffee gear from USA and Australia as it was not availble in the UK. I wanted great coffee for my customers and at home!
I wanted to help cafes and people make great coffee at home. I wanted to show people it didnt need to be expensive and great coffee can be fun and simple.

But if your like me you like to geek out a bit and we also have some really cool coffee brewing gear for my fellow coffee geeks.

We have the solutions for you to make great coffee at home or in the cafe.

Enjoy!

Great grinder for espresso. Included cup is great but doesn’t collect it all as a little too far from grinder exit.

SImple to use, not as noisy as I thought it would be and ultimately allows me to get great espresso from most beans without too much hassle. Aslo, prompt delivery from Coffee Hit along with good communiction.

Black Encore ESP. I watched approximately 1000 reviews online for grinders and I went full circle and back to this wonderful machine. I use for single dose. Hardly any statin/ retention. It's brilliant. I even like the noise. Hell it's a grinder. To be honest if it was quiet I'd be disappointed. Now I'm buying loads of different beans and testing grind sizes blah blah blah. It's fun. Yet to get an espresso machine. FYI. 19-22 setting for Aeropress so far! 10 outa 10 man. Do it! Hope this helps.

The grinder is easy to dial in with a simple twist of the top. A little noisy but not obnoxious. If you want a good grinder to achieve expresso then this is it.

I did a lot of research on “budget” grinders (it was still £150ish which is a lot of money to me) and landed on the encore esp. I liked that I could grind both espresso all the way up to old brew. The variable screw is excellent for grind for traditional espresso (1:2ish in 30ish second) and I’m not yet sure if it’s well calibrated to do turbo shots. The fact that it might not be able to do turbo shots is more of an FYI rather than a criticism. At this price point and for what the grinder is already capable of, a complaint is unwarranted in my opinion, and I have yet to seriously try and dial a turbo shot in. I’ve been getting some of the best espresso flavour clarity that I’ve ever got. I’ve owned three grinders so far, a second hand one that was terrible, a Shardor from Amazon, and now the esp. The esp is in a league of its own compared to these other one. I’m very happy with my purchase.
