“I haven't put it in yet. It's a risk as my old engines normally use a 5W-50 synthetic so I have to be very careful during cold starts with such a thick when cold oil in the engines.”
Hi,
If you're not happy with a 20w-50, you're welcome to return it. We then have several 5w-50s that you could order.

“I have used Valvoline VR1 20w50 in my FIA historic 1965 Race MGB car and it provides excellent protection with its increased zinc content. The oil pressure is maintained at 50 to 75 psi even when very hot.
I build my own engines and they produce around 160 bhp and the oil quality is extremely important, it’s an engines ‘life blood’. I do change the oil more frequently than for a road car and oil analysis can provide important information regarding the engines condition - but in the 5 years I have been using this oil I have not had any engine failures.”
