Hi Cheryl, The slight yellow colour you’ve noticed is a normal effect of the cream. The yellow hue comes directly from the key active ingredient, retinaldehyde, and is more pronounced at higher strengths like 0.2%. This can sometimes leave a temporary yellow tone on the skin or transfer to bedding or clothing. To minimize this, allow the cream to dry fully before going to bed, and consider layering a moisturizer on top to help seal it in. Any colour transfer on fabrics should fade after washing and exposure to sunlight, as retinal degrades in the sun. Peeling can also occur, especially when using a high-strength vitamin A product like this one. This is a common sign that your skin is adjusting to the increased potency. If you experience discomfort, try reducing the frequency of application to give your skin more time to build tolerance. Over time, most users find their skin adapts and the peeling subsides. As always, remember to use SPF daily, as vitamin A products can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. Thank you again for your honest review- your experience helps others make informed decisions! Facetheory Team

Everything started well but after sometime my skin started breaking out. Tried using only this serum but still the same result, even after some months... I used to apply their retinol serum and was great, so might be a reaction to some other ingredient.

Hi SP, Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. We're sorry to hear that you experienced breakouts after some time with the Retinal Supreme Multi-Cream 0.2%, especially since you had good results with the retinol serum previously. Retinal is a more potent form of vitamin A than retinol, and while it offers enhanced benefits, it can also increase the risk of irritation or breakouts for some users, particularly when first introduced or if your skin is sensitive to certain ingredients. It's not uncommon for people to experience breakouts or purging when starting a new retinoid product, as these ingredients increase skin cell turnover, which can temporarily bring underlying congestion to the surface. However, if breakouts persist for several months, it may indicate your skin is reacting to a specific ingredient or that the formula isn't a good match for your skin type. We recommend: Reduce the frequency of use or apply a smaller amount to see if your skin tolerates it better. Use a gentle, non-irritating moisturiser alongside the cream to help soothe your skin. If that worked well for you, consider a return to your previous retinol serum or consult a dermatologist to identify any ingredients that may be causing a reaction. Everyone’s skin is different, and sometimes even similar products can yield different results. If you’d like personalised advice or support, please reach out to our customer care team. Your comfort and satisfaction are important to us. Thanks Facetheory Team

Facetheory Team

I really wouldn't be without this serum. Since I've been using it my skin honestly is transformed. I started on the 0.2% because I'd been using 3% retinol, if you're new to retinol or retinal please start on the lowest % and work your way up. I couldn't recommend highly enough. Love all FT products, I've tried so many brands and this is honestly the best brand I've ever used. I trust every new product I've bought from them and they never disappoint. ❤️
