“This serum burned my skin. I got very angry red pimples and my skin got red and irritated. Maybe I’m allergic to a specific ingredient. Btw I have combination acne prone skin”

“This is one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever put on my face (including acid peels and high potency vitamin C) and is almost unbearable, especially the morning after using Retinal. My skin feels like it's been severely sunburnt and my neck looked like I had hives, I had a tidemark of red and had to take an antihistamine. I don't have particularly sensitive skin. I have acne rosacea and have been using a version of azelaic acid encapsulated in silicone and the texture was awful. The texture of this is lovely, the consistency of single cream, and is hydrating. The serum really is making a difference for me (improvement in texture and hydration) and is working quickly however, I've marked it down because of the sting.”

Hi Lauren Sorry to hear this. Although the mechanism of action of azelaic acid and retinol are different, it may be worth using one or the other and see if that settles things down a bit for you. Jamie

“I love this serum. I use it every night. The consistency is a thick lotion, and it has a beige color. Despite its thick texture, it sinks into the skin quickly and leaves it feeling smooth. I have been struggling with acne and treating it with benzoyl peroxide, which helped but didn't get rid of the scars and redness. This serum definitely helps with that a lot, I noticed my skin getting better just after using it a few times. I love it and I don't regret spending 30€ on it, it's totally worth it in my opinion.”

“This works as promised! Had quite bad acne all around my chin, red, cluttered, painful...and nothing I tried truly worked. I have been using it along with the Clarifying Cleanser and my acne is mostly gone within 2 weeks. I still have scars, although skin tone is clearing out and they are not as evident as before. Pretty sure it will all be gone soon! Happy!”
