“I'm a pharmacist and medical writer so I always research my skincare ingredients. I'm also going through IVF so I'm very restricted in terms of what I can use to combat temperamental, blemish-prone, hyperpigmentation-prone skin these days. Azelaic acid is something that you can use - although for anyone else experiencing similar issues, or currently pregnant or breastfeeding, please speak to your doctor to let them know. I have. I was stunned that after years of using glycolic acid (up to 15%), this serum cleared my skin in less than 2 weeks. It's too early to tell if it will help the pre-existing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (thank you breakouts) but overall, my complexion is much brighter, far less oily and smoother. I wake up every day without a claggy, greasy complexion! To treat acne/hyperpigmentation, azelaic acid preparations need to be between 15-30%. At 30%, you need a prescription. This is the only over-the-counter azeliac acid serum I've found that uses the recommended minimum concentration. I tried another serum years ago at 10% and it did absolutely nothing for me. I also use the Porebright pro serum (the 20% niacinamide) with this, both twice daily and it's so nice to feel like my skin is behaving a little better, in spite of all of the hormonal upheaval and stress. “Really great product has helped to smooth out my skin and remove any lumps I will definately keep using this, However has not yet improved any redness from my rosecea, maybe after a few more weeks of use it will.”

“Serum is quite light and give you a slight tingling sensation for a while but kind of vanish eventually. I have only used it for a week and could see my dark spot fading and improvement in the skin texture. However, the delivery take a bit longer then expected. Overall I will purchase it again considering the quality”

“This is a great product for everyone and one of only a few products with an effective dose of Azelaic acid in it. But I would say if you shave your face, then this is a must. Reduces redness and irritation caused by shaving, and stops any razor bumps and spots forming.”

“Waited about a month before I reviewed this because I didnt want to give any false information. This serum is amazing and along with the clarifying cleanser, porebright serum and oil free gel moisturiser I have finally found products to help my oily skin. It's very strong so I only use it every other day at the moment but I'm going to work up to every day. Funny that I thought the facetheory reviews were fake at first because they were suspiciously high. Now I'm writing a suspiciously good review myself! :O will never use anything other than facetheory now!”

“Ich bin über 50 und habe große Poren und immer wieder mit unreiner Haut und Pickeln zu kämpfen. Endlich ein Produkt, dass bei meiner Problemhaut hilft. Ich trage das Serum 2-3 Mal pro Woche abends dünn auf. Am nächsten Morgen ist meine Haut weich, die Poren verfeinert und Pickelchen verschwunden. Bei täglicher Anwendung trocknet meine Haut zu stark aus, daher verwende ich es abwechselnd mit AHA/BHA-Säuren und der Retinolcreme von facetheory. Ich bin voll zufrieden mit dem Produkt und werde es sicher wieder bestellen.”

“I'm so impressed with this product. Been using it for over a week now in the evenings, followed by FT's relaxing night cream. Wasn't expecting anything miraculous but I actually started noticing a difference within a few days. The texture of my skin a lot smoother and small bumps I've had around my jawline have disappeared with zero scars. I also had some acne on my forehead which has now completely flattened. Think this is probably my favourite FT product so far.”
