“63 year male. Only this year I have started a cleansing and maintenance routine for my face. I have type 2 diabetes and work in hot steamy kitchens. 1 month ago I changed to using this product at night and the noticeable change to my face is incredible. If this is only after 1 month I'm excited to see the difference long term. I suffered from really bad acne when I was young so I've always been self conscious about my face and the scarring from acne. But I can't praise this product enough. It's amazing. If you’re new to exfoliants, you might start with 2–3 times a week at night and gradually increase as your skin tolerates it. Always finish with a moisturizer and use sunscreen during the day. “This is a creamy formula that I did not expect and would not have purchased if I had known. It feels heavy and greasy and makes my face shiny. Definitely not what an exfoliating serum should feel like. I’m sure it’ll clog my pores with continued use. Try at your own risk if you have dry skin maybe but not for combo or oily at all. Huge fail.”

The Resurfa AHA & BHA Exfoliating Serum is formulated as a lightweight, milky serum designed to gently exfoliate with 5% glycolic acid (an AHA) and 2% salicylic acid (a BHA), which work to smooth skin texture, clear pores, and brighten the complexion. It is intended to feel light rather than creamy or heavy, as it should absorb before moisturiser application. However, skin types do vary, and some users—especially those with dry skin—may find the texture a bit different than expected. The serum also includes carnitine to help control sebum without heaviness. It is usually recommended to apply only a few pumps after cleansing and toning, then follow with a suitable moisturizer. If you experienced a greasy, heavy feel and shine, it might be due to product layering or skin's reaction, and your caution about pore clogging is understandable. For combination or oily skin, the serum is generally considered lightweight, but personal experience varies.
