“Booked specific table for autistic group and one disabled to feel comfortable and easy access, early in the day. Arrived to be told that was already already - the only one taken outside! Said ‘we know you reserved this one but..’. Stated allergy on ordering, found allergy in meal. Reported, apologised but not good enough as could have been bad vivid not noticed. Manager came over, asked if I was ok then told me it’s not one of the top allergies, didn’t realise she was a doctor! played it down, said if she was the chef she’d have a word with herself. Offered the meal free but messy due to voucher expiry date so offered to take off 2 soft drinks. I had to suggest the four soft drinks our party had ordered wouldn’t go amiss. Shocking she was haggling down over something so serious. I couldn’t believe giving someone a reported allergy was swept away so easily. Our poor server was mortified and came back to see if we still wanted the desserts we’d paid for already in the voucher, and stood with the chef to make sure everyone’s was ok. The food is nice and the rest of the party ate safely but the manager attitude in light of the poor girl in the Pret case was shocking. Disability ignored, clearly walked with sticks and needed the table I could slide around and hence precooked. Very poor service for a 4pm empty afternoon with very few customers, imagine the service if busy…”

“A little dissapointing to be honest. Think it was just the venue in Merthyr Tydfil. Extremly long wait to get served and then long wait for food. Food wasnt as good as expected and some of the order way overcooked. A lot of customers were complaining also. No reflection on the wowcher voucher as it was an extremly good deal. Just a shame it was dissapointing.”
