“I bought the heavy duty version which claims to cut up to 40mm branches. In practice the jaws will accommodate 40mm but it is impossible to get enough pull on the chord to cut that thickness. The chord tends to get caught and could do with additional means of attaching it to the pole. That said generally it works well.”
