“No paperwork came with instrument that would have helped with the “break in “ of pistons and valves. Pistons were sticky and upon removal corrosion spots noted on internal bores.per Wessex took cleaner and removed spots.. Tuning slides loose and some were able to be tighten per Wessex to bend legs of slide. Main tuning slide required adjustment by local repair person. Response from Wessex was quick and helpful. 4th valve had grinding sound but improving. The Good stuff., sound better than I expected, nice case, Valves working better, very nice touch with gold trim. Very nice silver plating and polishing. Comfortable to hold, water keys nice and tight. All joints appear to be properly aligned and soldered. Staff at Wessex very responsive to emails prior to and after purchase. All in all the perfect instrument for me and very satisfied with the overall appearance and performance of Dolce.”

“I ordered a Wessex Dolce after being slightly messed around when ordering from another company. No problems with Wessex who also sorted out a problem very quickly when I paid on the wrong card by mistake! Prompt, next day, delivery of this lovely looking and sounding Euphonium. The mouthpiece is good, I'm using a Dennis Wick SM3X but if I didn't already own it I'd more than likely stick with the one provided. I've oiled the valves and so far that's all I've had to do, they are quiet and fast and will only getter better the more i play. The finish is what I expected with some swirls in the silver plate but at this price point completely acceptable. The sound is much better than my previous Coppergate Professional 4 valve, clearer with more projection and no need for a trigger which makes playing it much easier. The little extras like the bag of spares, cap and pencil are thoughtful as well as useful. I'm looking forward to playing it in my local silver band later this year. Top marks all round.”

“Instrument is beautiful, it came earlier than projected shipping time. Sounds amazing and is medium-light weight. It came with a pouch for mouthpiece, a personalized Wessex rag, a Wessex hat, a Wessex pencil, bell cover, and of course, the amazing instrument. Though I though it was going to come in a travel case with a red interior, it came in a hard case with black interior. Can’t be mad at it though, still looks amazing.”
