Ordered this expecting to have to wait until end of September to receive it. It arrived just a few days later! Crazy fast shipping and it was packed extremely well. Anyone that is thinking about purchasing this euphonium should do so. It has an amazing sound and you can't beat the price. I got the one with gold accents and it is absolutely beautiful.

This is a wonderful instrument, it plays in-tune and has an excellent beautiful finish. I have had many compliments on it for its deep dark sound and how well it fits in with the low brass instruments in the orchestra. It is well worth the cost. Delivery from England was only a few days. I previously had a Meinl 451S and it is very comparable to to that instrument. For the money you can't go wrong on this horn.

Beautiful horn, beautiful sound. My son was very excited to get his graduation gift. And it arrived over two months earlier than the estimated delivery date so it was here before school ended for the year.

Very good horn for the money. Feels solidly built, though the silver finish is not quite up to the quality you would see on a more expensive model. Plays well with reasonable intonation, good valve action. I am enjoying mine.

I am primarily a bass trombone player but teach some tuba/euphomium students as well as sponsor the largest TUBACHRISTMAS program in Louisiana. I purchased the dolce to play along with students and use at TUBACHRISTMAS when I am not directing. I have found it to be a much better instrument than I thought it would be, especially at its price point. I am also playing it a lot more than I thought I would when I purchased it. It is a good solid instrument and with proper care should last me many years. I have had three very minor issues with the horn. 1. Main tuning slide was very loose and my local repair tech took care of that. 2. When removing the 2nd valve for cleaning, it is a little tricky to thread the cap back on and I have to be very careful with it. I've seen similar issues on many more expensive instruments. 3. The water button to empty the second valve slide never had the hole drilled in the tubing so I empty it the old fashioned way. Overall I am extremely pleased with the instrument. I also enjoy playing it in my church orchestra from time to time. I have two fiends who are Euphonium professors at Louisiana Universities. One is very impressed with it and compared my Dolce favorably with other major brand professional horns. The other didn't care for it, but he is also an artist and clinician for one of those other major companies and has to root for his home team. Again, I have found it to be a very good instrument for the price.

I’ve had this horn since I was a sophomore in high school, and I’m now finishing up my freshman year of college. My Wessex has gone everywhere with me and it’s been a reliable horn. It has a surprisingly pleasant, dark tone to it and it’s mechanically very solid. However, even with its excellent value, it still has a few small setbacks: the valves are rather noisy, intonation in the higher partials can get quite unsolid, and the 2nd valve water key doesn’t really work. That being said, it’s an overall fantastic value. It has kept up with me as I grow in skill and although It’s not a $15,000 horn it sounds a lot better than what you’d expect it to. If you’re looking for an intermediate horn for a good price, this will satisfy you and then some.
