The canoe is portable although still heavy. It's spacious and more sturdy than a paddle board. The flat bottom doesn't cut through the water that fast although it's helped because the Board floats on water. Altogether good family fun on water.

I've just taken my canoe out in Poole harbour for the first paddle. Handles great on flat water even without the skegs. Need to use longer screws on the seat brackets.

Absolutely love this dropstitch canoe. We've always had a rigid tandem kayak but with two growing kids we had outgrown it. I've always wanted a canoe, but could never quite stretch to a full Canadian, particularly in terms of car roofspace and ability to load. So when I saw this on the market, I had to havd it. The Venturer exceeds all expectations both in terms of handling and stability, the kids have been jumping into the Loch from it and climbing back in, and at no point has it felt at risk if capsizing. Instructions could be a little more detailed, particularly in relation to positioning of the floor chamber, as I had to deflate and reinstate a couple of times before I got it right, but once up, it's fab! Utterly awesome vessel!

The Venturer is excellent, had three in there no issues (better with 2 due to the back being slightly unstable in comparison but still stable enough) it glides through the water & is really easy to dry & pack away! Love it!

Fantastic , totally brilliant, stable, easy enough to handle on your own, took myself the dog and the youngest out into the deep at parts of Loch Lomond with all our wild camping kit . I love with it, the only thing I would say is I switched out the paddles for canoe paddles. Besides that, absolutely worth the money .

'Cool. Fun. Adventurous.' These were the three words my family used to describe the first trip in our Venturer canoe. Delivery was quick and the boat came as described. We purchased some canoe paddles to replace the kayak paddles provided. It would be great if Wave could include those instead. No complaints other than that. The boat handled well and was pretty quick with two paddlers. Lots of room for our two young boys and some luggage. Given the size of the boat, it didn't feel unreasonably heavy to carry from the car. The carry rucksack bag was good and had plenty of room to fit everything in. But the bag fits into the boot of our Ford Fiesta. Looking forward to many more adventures!

Very good steady canoe. Have done only 20 miles on river but so far very happy with purchase.

Took our new canoe out for a short first paddle on Loch Maree, in the Northwest highlands of Scotland. Straightforward and reasonably quick to inflate with the supplied pump (just as well as the midges were fierce). First impressions were very good - stable, easy to steer, travelled well. We didn't try the fins so can't comment on them. Nor have we tried it as a 3-person canoe yet but we're confident that will work ok (as long as the bow doesn't have long legs). A few days later we took it to the lovely Mellon Udrigle beach, but were put off by the strong offshore breeze. Probably it would have coped fine, but we preferred not to risk it while still getting to know the canoe. The manual is a bit minimal - some explanation of valve inflation/deflation would be helpful. A video showing the neatest way to pack it into the carry bag would be great. However we managed, and I was able to carry it all of 100 yards to the beach (but only just, as a weedy septuagenarian).
