I phoned then regarding advice on the levels when adding a third butt to a row, the phone is answered very quickly, which is rare these days and they were extremely helpful. “I spoke with a member of staff at Water Butt Direct. They knew their stuff and I was happy to order. The water butt arrived as expected. It was quite easy to fit. Obviously you need the correct tools to cut existing downpipes but easy to do. The water butt looks good and certainly does the job. It was filled on the 1st heavy downpour, and excess is directed down the downpipe as expected. Maybe we should have ordered the larger water butt but space does not permit. I have already recommended the product and company to neighbours.”

“The tap and washer were missing from the kit which accompanied one of the two water butts which I purchased. Both water butts contained quantities of plastic swarf which I had to tip out and sweep up. The inlet connection and link connections of both water butts were angled such that the inlet connector was not horizontal but was in fact pointing upwards away from the butt.”
