Hi Lianne, Thank you so much for your wonderfully detailed 5-star review of our / your Inspire Oak Internal Bi-fold Doors. When purchasing a new product, the finer details can often be overlooked, and price can easily become the main focus. At face value there are a lot cheaper doors on the market, however, and as highlighted by your joiner, all the extra pre-machining that is done to create a 'ready to assemble' door set, soon becomes a huge cost saving in itself, and makes the whole installation process run a lot smoother and gives a better looking overall final finish. Most other internal doors on the market don't come with pre-machined grooves for draught excluders, all Vufolds internal doors do, and they are supplied with discrete externally rated seals - again thank you for highlighting how important this is to help with noise reduction. “The look and feel of these door is great. The only slight niggle is the screws provided for such things at the blanking plates and drop bolt plates are very soft, they unfortunately rounded of very eas, leading to me drilling out and replacing with better quality. Other than this which to be honest isn't much of a big deal. I am very happy with the doors. The instruction were clear and concise and the service was fantastic.”

“Very happy. Only problem inserting screwdriver to raise the door wasn't clear on what to do. Trackless system really needs some sort of stop to prevent doors going back too far”

The doors you have purchased are a 'fold flat' system, without the need for a track; the main feature being that the doors can fold flat back onto the wall. “Absolutely over the moon with our inspire fold doors. When designing our new extension these two entrance doors were the one part of the build that caused us a conundrum due to wanting to maintain an open plan living feel, whilst at the same time having the option of closing off the space when needed. Prior to ordering the customer service we received from Vufold was great, especially when it came to getting answers on various technical questions. You can immediately see and feel the quality of the doors and the joiner was very impressed with them. They’ve really finished off the space. We’ve been very impressed from start to finish. If there is one slight criticism it’s that the plastic screw caps supplied with the doors don’t match the quality of the product. However, after a quick search online we managed to find some white oak veneer caps that do the job perfectly and can also be stained the same colour of the doors. It would be good if these could have been supplied with the doors though. I must stress however it’s only a very slight negative and doesn’t detract from the quality of the doors in any way.”

We do appreciate the feedback regarding the screw cover caps and agree that the white oak caps you have sourced look good, as the doors are supplied unfinished so customers can paint, stain or varnish the doors, we opted for light oak and white coloured caps as standard. Sorry that we don't offer an obscure / frosted glass option in our Inspire range, if there is enough demand for it then it is something we would consider. We do have a frosted glass option available in our Finesse internal range, and there are also companies out there who supply pre-sized self installation films, and others who offer onsite film installation services.
