It was a great feeling to spend time with the wonderful children and get to know Beijing and the chinese culture. Every time when I needed help concerning different matters Melissa tried to help me. It was always nice when she visited us at the orphanage ! The experience was great it was an incredible feeling to be helpful to the nannys and spending time with the children was so much fun. Furthermore I was always thankful for the delicious lunch provided by one of the nannys. My highlights was the project and spending time with the children and getting to know Beijing by sightseeing.

I took a group of 10 students with me. It was an amazing experience the students all loved it and want to go back next year. I had a great experience from beginning to end that was well coordinated and cost efficient through volunteering solutions. I couldn't be happier with my overall experience. We coordinated with Melissa who made sure we had a good balance of volunteer and personal time. She knew better than we did actually what we were going to be able to handle or not handle and was extremely helpful. We stayed in the hostel and they did an amazing job with our food - they made sure that it wasn't the same thing every day. it was well organized and they were really thoughtful. The location was safe and central so that we could get around ourselves. The staff was very helpful with helping to make sure we had what we needed from doing laundry to getting us a birthday cake to helping us figure out the subway. The orphanage was really great. We enjoyed ourselves and the school was great too. The experience got my students to speak Chinese quickly.

Trip was unbelievable !! we worked really hard and played really hard with the elephants.... i went with my daughter this year and will be going back next year with my son. Everything you here about baby elephants are true! Accommodation exactly what was needed...had a nice room with a shower and toilet and a/c. You work as hard as you want to...we built a dam...we picked and planted rice...we cut bamboo for the elephant fence...we built fence...roasted our own coffee over an open fire and made toast the same way. I put a lot of effort in my experience and got back 100 fold. Meeting people form all over the world was the highlight. we really hit it off with several other volunteers and ended up traveling all together...the elephants were amazing.....we were at the camp maybe 10 min and we were already in the elephant pens. I’ve never met any nicer people than the Thai people. Hands down! would love to answer any questions about the program to anyone.

My overall experience was very rewarding. I did a 3-week medical internship at the Royal Thai Navy Hospital (Somdet Phra Pinklao Hospital). I spent one week in Obstetrics/Gynecology department and two weeks in the Cardiology department. I had the opportunity to observe deliveries (natural and Cesarean) bypass surgery observe angiograms and angioplasty procedures learn about echocardiograms and more. It was such a great experience as every single member of the medical team took me under their wing regardless of their English abilities to mentor me and make sure I had the best learning experience. Just finishing my first year of medical school this was a great opportunity to not only further discover specific areas of medicine that I'm interested in but also to learn about Thailand's healthcare from an internal perspective. This perspective and my conversations with medics from various areas in the hospital were so valuable to me and really challenged my idea of successful strategies to uphold a strong healthcare system. Thank you VolSol for the experience:)

I recently returned from a 2-weeks placement in Beijing at an orphanage for children with special needs and it's been one of the most humbling gratifying and surreal experiences in my life. I worked with about 20 kids from infants to young adults and had full days of teaching English changing diapers coddling babies cleaning the orphanage helping with laundry bathing the babies you name it! The children and the caregivers welcomed me and the other volunteer with open arms and it really felt like I was part of their family. They were definitely full hard days but ultimately absolutely life-changing work! I still keep in touch with the caregivers and orphanage director and they send me updates and pictures of all the kids. I'm already making plans to return to the orphanage to help out more next year! Thank you VolSol for all your support! I recommend doing volunteer work at some point in your life it really does teach you so much!

My experience was amazing! The tour included so much and the volunteering experience was fantastic. All the staff/volunteers/tour guides were absolutely amazing. They were kind informative and so welcoming and friendly. I loved the accommodation. It being a volunteer program I expected less so I was very surprised and impressed with the quality of accommodation. The highlight was definitely working with the elephants and I think that the quality of atmosphere with the other volunteers and tour guides help so the fact everyone was so fantastic it really creative a great vibe. I also really enjoyed the adventure activities! There was such a variety on the trip so every adventure brought something new!

I did the 2-week Special in Surin Thailand and was not disappointed at all. One week Childcare one week at the Elephant village. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the kids in childcare and it was incredibly gratifying to know that they were just so happy to be around us. Mr. Lee's Elephant village was a blast so rewarding knowing the exhaustion is truly worth it. Also the elephants..so fun so memorable. The coordinators were all great as well. Highlights of the program: 1. Laughing with the kids at childcare 2. Meeting so many awesome new friends 3. Being able to learn about and spend time with some beautiful elephants.

My experience in Chiang Mai was nothing less than amazing. Every possible expectation I had was completely exceeded and left me with a full heart and tears that I had to leave the place and go home. The experiences I have had in the last two weeks are some of the best I’ve had in my whole lifetime. Not only did I get to shadow doctors in a hospital I got to engage in the Thai culture meet lifelong friends from around the world and helped myself to be a better person. Although this all sounds so cheesy and cliché I am so grateful for everything I have done there with this program
