Started to buy this mix last year and any seed that the birds scatter around the bird table does not grow which is pleasing.

so far the birds havent touched this...but I have far fewer birds in my garden anyhow than a year ago so maybe I shouldnt blame the food - though I have had a starling eating mealy worms occasionally..

Hello Thank you for your review. I can see by your order history this is the first time you have used this mix. As you say you have fewer birds in your garden than a year ago. Has the garden changed, hedges gone, building work in the area, noise etc. Are the birds hesitant/nervous feeding on the ground? It can take a while for birds to start coming back. Maybe try some hanging feeders with a mixed seed. It is surprising to see what birds are about that you are not aware of. Kindest Regards Vine House Farm

I have been using this mix for a long time now. It is favoured by blackbirds, woodpigeons and hedgehogs when at a ground feeding station and by greenfinches, sparrows, robins and goldfinches on a hanging feeder.. Strangely, hedgehogs seem to prefer this mix to hedgehog food whereas magpies prefer the hedgehog food!

It works really well in my feeders. The birds love it, it doesn't sprout and it gets cleaned up really well.
