There are so many ways of feeding these suet treats - from a mesh peanut feeder (with or without peanuts), mixed with seed or simply on their own from a bird table or the ground. They are a favourite of Blackbirds, Robins, Song Thrushes and Starlings.

Unfortunately it's that time of of the year when there are very few birds around and my garden is no different to many others. Consequently I have been unable to give a decent review.

Really good company. Speedy free delivery and everything in recycling ready packaging. The only thing I wish was that I could get other types of suet pellets, eg berries. Because I have arthritis in my lower back I can't manage the larger quantity boxes.

This must be the ultimate 'snack' food of the avian world! This year's broods of great tits & blue tits come en masse like excited teenagers to grab a pellet and fly back to the safety of a tree, especially when a magpie comes for a share. The pellets are also enjoyed by robins, blackbirds and a woodpecker. The wood pigeons hoover up anything that's left!

I have been filling my window feeders with the berry suet pellets and the birds love them. I have robins, bluetits, sparrows and blackbirds coming all the time. I have to refill the feeders several times a day. I thought I'd try the insect pellets for a change. I mixed the berry and the insect pellets together. The birds have picked out the berry ones but hardly any of the insect flavour. It's only been a couple of days so I'll see how it goes.
