There are so many ways of feeding these suet treats - from a mesh peanut feeder (with or without peanuts), mixed with seed or simply on their own from a bird table or the ground. They are a favourite of Blackbirds, Robins, Song Thrushes and Starlings.

“From an initial slow acceptance of my garden visitors, I am seeing increasing popularity with these suet pellets amongst many species. The greatest delight for me is the Great Spotted Woodpecker. Early after fledging time, an adult would accompany one to two juveniles to the feeder to show them how to help themselves! I cannot distinguish individual woodpeckers, but the great spotted visits multiple times per day. It's well worth putting the pellets in caged hanging or ground feeders that the corvids cannot access. Otherwise, your stocks will rapidly diminish.”

“The birds like them which is the key thing. The new packaging is as eco as possible and fine as long as you open it the right way up! I have no complaints except if it were possible to cut the pellets a little shorter so they could go in a solid holder since, as you know, they turn to porridge when wet! My only complaint! Thanks for everything”
