High Energy Mix Reviews

An extremely high energy mixed seed bird food at a great price. This High Energy Mixed Seed flows well through tubular seed feeders in the wettest of environments. Our High Energy Mix contains: black sunflowers, chopped peanuts, white millet, kibbled maize, canary seed, pinhead oats, oil seed rape and red millet. Much like our Mixed Seed bird food but with more high energy black sunflowers and without the wheat. Our High Energy Mixed Seed bird food is also suitable for bird tables and ground feeders

I was surprised at the density of sunflower seed which the birds are not eating. Most of it ends up on the floor. It is thick on the ground. I scooped up handful and the seeds are still whole. I thought the ground eating birds would eat it but they haven't, not even the pigeons.

I regret buying this truly awful feed. Much of it is jettisoned as waste and ends up on my border and lawn, where it promptly (after rain) germinated into hundreds of weeds that I will, unfortunately, have quite a job to remove. The feed is reminiscent of those horrible, cheap feeds you find in DIY stores or on market stalls that are made of useless but cheap filler seeds that the birds simply reject. Vine House Farm feed used to be fine and of decent quality, but certainly not now and I will never buy again. This is at least the second bag I've had that is of unacceptably poor quality.

We're sorry to hear the quality of the High Energy Mix wasn't up to our usual standard. Very occasionally the final bag of a run ends up with the smaller particles but is usually discarded. Our apologies that this was sent to you in error. We have sent you a DM about a resolution, including changing back to your usual Premium High Energy

Our birds munch this very quickly, scattered on "lawn" attracts crows, magpies, occasionally green woodpecker and of course squirrels. The smaller birds eat it from a large hanging seed container.

The birds love it so much disagreements when there are more birds than holes in the feeder
