“I mix these chopped peanuts with Vine House Farm mixed seed and put in a seed type bird feeder. The birds love it. Some of my mix falls on the ground and the ground feeding birds eat it. There is no waste.”
“I used to bash some of my peanuts to offer to smaller birds on a ground table but chopped peanuts are so much easier ! This is especially important in nesting season when whole peanuts, if offered to nestlings by their parents, could choke them. Whole peanuts should always be served in metal mesh feeders, not plastic mesh as they can entangle bird's feet.”
“These chopped peanuts are better at surviving the wet weather we are having at the moment than suet pellets, and my garden birds certainly like them as an addition to seed mixes.”
